Job summary

Opencast, a growing tech consultancy, is seeking a Quality Assurance consultant to ensure quality across public and private sector projects. You’ll lead by example in an agile environment, collaborating with developers, clients and users to maintain high quality and follow best practices, while mentoring junior colleagues.

You’ll work on diverse projects, contribute to test strategies, and ensure compliance with Opencast's quality, environmental, and information security policies, as well as

Qualifications

• Experience as the sole software test engineer on a team.
• Proven ability to write, run, and debug automation tests for front-end and API.
• Experience with CI tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI.
• Ability to present work to stakeholders.
• Experience with defect tracking and resolution.
• Ability to create user stories and technical tasks from high-level requirements.
• Proficiency with Git and peer review processes.
• Experience in E2E and UAT testing.

Responsibilities

• Work on public and private sector projects, possibly as the sole QA engineer on a project.
• Lead by example and promote the Opencast approach in an agile environment.
• Collaborate with team members, clients and users to maintain quality and follow best practices.
• Mentor junior colleagues and advise on tools and techniques.
• Ensure work aligns with Opencast's quality, environmental, and information security policies and client standards.
