Job summary

Kainos in York is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead major engagements from concept through delivery, shaping product strategies and business cases with a focus on Agile transformation in a public-sector context.

You will manage, coach and develop senior staff, guiding multi-disciplinary teams, and driving effective delivery while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and a practical approach to product management.

Qualifications

• Extensive vertical knowledge of Product Management, with strong knowledge of User Experience, Agile and Programme Assurance.
• Experience across at least two major business verticals including Public Sector.
• Experience of at least two business application environments (CRM, eCommerce).
• Experience of strong C-Level stakeholder communication and mentoring of clients to raise awareness of product management.
• Broad business and technology understanding with awareness of industry trends.
• Experience delivering as part of an agile team.
• Line management or coaching experience.
• Excellent facilitator: able to drive focused outcomes from large gatherings of diverse stakeholders.
• Able to plan and lead consulting engagements from initiation through to completion.
• Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of business and project dynamics.
• Adaptable to embrace new disciplines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Able to translate business requirements into cost-effective functional requirements.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall Project Management delivery methodologies.
• Able to work flexibly to tight deadlines within uncertain environments.
• Strong team management skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Passion for developing people, mentoring and coaching.
• Excellent communication with various stakeholders.
