Job summary

4M Recruitment is recruiting a Procurement Specialist on a permanent basis to support UK public sector customers with access to 4000+ pre-approved suppliers across multiple categories.

The role covers end-to-end sourcing, relationship building with clients and suppliers, drafting Statements of Work, monitoring activities, and delivering MI for reviews while mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
• CIPS qualification or working toward it is highly advantageous.
• Procurement experience within a public sector context is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Candidates should be highly organised with strong stakeholder skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment with a solutions-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist on a permanent basis for an expanding business.

Within this role you will provide expert procurement support and advice to public sector customers across the UK allowing them access to a dynamic market of 4000+ pre-approved suppliers across a wide range of categories.

Your role will involve the following:

• Support end to end sourcing and procurement activity
• Engage and build relationships with customers and suppliers
• Support with the creation of Statement of Works
• Montior procurement activities
• Produce data and management information for service reviews and to quantify outcomes
• Mentor junior team members
• Support with improvements

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes

• Hold a degree level qualification
• Qualified in CIPS or working toward would be highly advantageous but not essential
• Procurement experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised
• Strong stakeholder management skills and good at building relationships
• Ability to work at pace and in a every changing environment
• Solutions focused
