Qualifications

• CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience in public sector procurement.
• Proven experience within a public sector procurement environment.
• Knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations, Equality Act, and Modern Slavery legislation (PA23 or PCR2015).
• Experience using e-procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of sustainable procurement principles and their practical application.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities including tender development, evaluation, contract award, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and partners, providing expert procurement advice and supporting strategic procurement planning.
• Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance to ensure value for money, delivery of social value commitments, and continuous improvement through contract management and benchmarking.
