Job summary

Aspect Resources is seeking a Commercial Practitioner for a 6-month contract with hybrid working arrangements across Liverpool, Birmingham, Newport or Norwich. The role offers a daily rate of £550 (umbrella maximum) and Inside IR35 status.

You will lead procurement across a portfolio in the public sector, drive spend retention and growth, manage Commercial Agreements, and engage stakeholders to deliver commercial benefits. This is an officer-level support role reporting to contract leads.

Qualifications

• Public sector procurement experience with contract management.
• Knowledge of PCR 2015.
• Experience in professional services procurement.
• Stakeholder engagement across multiple groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to develop and implement plans to retain and grow spend, drive value and deliver commercial benefits.
• Execute engagement plans for communications with customers to establish retention and growth of spend via Commercial Agreements.
• Understand customer needs and how the portfolio can support their business with internal teams.
• Create compelling cases for customers to adopt Commercial Agreements and the value delivered.
• Present at stakeholder forums and provide commercial advice on routes to market.
• Manage Commercial Agreements lifecycle to meet growth targets; support procurements for replacements.
• Develop supplier plans, conduct supplier reviews, assess risk and provide management information.
• Support development of market-leading commercial strategies and value-for-money initiatives.
• Analyze data to identify value initiatives and manage Commercial Agreements and suppliers.
• Identify and implement commercial benefits with customers and suppliers.
• Prepare documents for going to market for new/renewed Commercial Agreements.
