Job summary

Bolsover District Council is seeking a Public Procurement Officer to oversee end-to-end procurement for goods, services and works. You will ensure compliance with public sector regulations and work with internal stakeholders to deliver value for money.

Responsibilities include preparing tender docs, evaluating supplier proposals, and driving procurement strategies. The role also covers records management, reporting, audits, and providing guidance to teams on best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with end-to-end procurement in the public sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK public procurement legislation.
• Ability to lead competitive bidding and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Proven track record of supporting reporting and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement processes in line with public sector policies.
• Prepare tender documentation and manage competitive bidding.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide guidance.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Maintain procurement records and support reporting and audit requirements.
• Provide training and guidance on procurement best practices.
