Job summary

Keoghs in Bolton seeks an experienced File Handler to manage a caseload of EL/PL cases for Public Sector clients. The role requires forensic analysis, reviewing evidence, and exercising non-delegated authority on cases up to £100K.

You will work within Claims Management, ensuring compliance and timely progression of files. Key responsibilities include strategy setting, evidence review, drafting questions to experts, and coordinating with Counsel.

Qualifications

• Experience handling EL/PL files is essential.
• Previous litigation experience is essential.
• Ability to meet targets and work under pressure.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Good client care and ability to work non-delegated under client guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess merits of primary and secondary liability in claims.
• Manage client SLA compliance and case strategy.
• Review evidence including witness statements and medical records.
• Instruct Counsel, investigators, and experts.
• Draft questions, prepare trial bundles, and pre-trial reports.
• Attend Conferences and Trials with Counsel.
• Ensure compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations.
