Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a driven Construction Project Manager to lead a portfolio of large and complex construction projects within our demanding capital programme. Based at Shire Hall, Warwick, you will take projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery to timescales, budgets and quality standards.

You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scheme development, procurement, consultant appointments, contract management and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing complex construction projects.
• Experience delivering capital projects within the education sector.
• Construction-related degree or equivalent qualification.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution or working towards membership.
• Strong knowledge of procurement methods and development processes.
• Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel across Warwickshire.

Responsibilities

• Lead a varied portfolio of large and complex construction projects within the council's capital programme.
• Take projects from inception through to completion and deliver to time, cost and quality targets.
• Manage procurement, consultant appointments, contracts, budgets and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with internal clients, elected members, consultants and contractors to deliver successful schemes.
• Contribute to procurement strategy development and ensure safe, sustainable delivery.
