Job summary

Dundee City Council invites applications for a solicitor to join its legal services. The role is based at 21 City Square, Dundee, with hybrid working arrangements and a full-time schedule of 37 hours per week.

You will have an LLB in Scots Law and Diploma in Legal Practice, with completed traineeship and strong communication, organisational and time-management skills, able to work under pressure and lead others. Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check required.

Qualifications

• LLB degree in Scots Law and Diploma in Legal Practice.
• Completed legal traineeship with good basic experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organisational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing all legal and associated services to the Council, its Committees, Services, staff and organisations in which the Council has an interest.
• This will include work relating to conveyancing, contracts, statutory orders and procedures and planning.
