Government Commercial Agency (GCA) is seeking a Commercial Practitioner to lead high-value procurement and contract management, driving supplier relationships and customer outcomes across the public sector.

Based in Liverpool with flexible remote working options, you will help manage over substantial public spend, advise buyers on strategic commercial decisions, and contribute to a more efficient, digitally-advanced government.

Qualifications

• Experience of procurement and/or commercial contract management with a track record of delivering value.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to analyse large data sets.
• Experience advising public sector buyers on commercial strategies.
• Ability to influence diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement workstreams and support commercial procurements within agreed timelines.
• Manage supplier relationships and undertake market insights to drive value for the public sector.
• Monitor and mitigate risks; escalate issues with recommended actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
