Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a 2 month contract with a Local Authority in Redditch. The role provides expert litigation advice and supports civil matters for the Council and partner organisations, including enforcement, debt recovery, and housing issues.

The post requires a qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX Fellow with at least 3 years PQE, strong advocacy and stakeholder skills, and the ability to work to statutory deadlines.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX Fellow with 3+ years PQE.
• Extensive experience in civil litigation and enforcement.
• Experience advising on licensing and property matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to work under deadlines.
• Public sector or local government experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide litigation advice and support to the Council and partner organisations.
• Manage civil enforcement and debt recovery actions.
• Advise on property disputes and licensing matters.
• Prepare case files for County Court and tribunals.
• Instruct external Counsel and liaise with stakeholders.
• Represent the Council in civil appeals as needed.
• Ensure work complies with standards and policies.
• Travel to attend court and meetings as required.
