Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting seeks an experienced Business Analyst to join an agile delivery team building digital services for UK government clients. You’ll translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams.

BPSS clearance or eligibility, strong stakeholder management, and proficiency with Jira/Confluence are essential. Experience in data flows, BPMN and public sector delivery will help you succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• BPSS clearance or eligibility.
• Proven BA experience in an agile environment with user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience documenting as-is and to-be processes and data flows.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools.
• Experience in UK government/public sector digital delivery and knowledge of the GDS Service Standard.
• Experience on data-related projects with data engineering/analytics teams.
• Process modelling skills (e.g., BPMN).
• Business analysis certification (BCS or IIBA).

Responsibilities

• Understand and clarify stakeholder needs and map to business priorities.
• Gather, analyse and document requirements as user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases and process flows.
• Analyse current processes and identify gaps and design the future state.
• Run workshops, interviews and discovery sessions with stakeholders.
• Prioritise and refine the backlog with the Product Owner.
• Support testing and user acceptance to ensure delivered works meet needs.
• Turn findings into clear documentation for decisions, delivery and governance.
• Ensure requirements align with data protection, governance and security standards (GDPR).
