BardWood Support Services is recruiting for an Area Support Officer based in Swindon. You will work in a site-based public sector role, providing relief cover for multiple locations within a region and ensuring safety and security for staff and visitors.

Key duties include proactive public-facing presence, conflict resolution support, and reporting incidents with clear documentation. Applicants should have SIA license, full UK driving license, and a solid 5-year work history.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.

• Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Physically fit for task demands.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure.
• Flexible attitude and adaptability.
• Security and operational system competence expected.

Responsibilities

• Relieve and support a portfolio of locations within a region.
• Provide quality service delivery following site guidance and instructions.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Provide a proactive presence in public areas and assist with directions.
• Engage with customers to manage conflicts where needed.
• Ensure adherence to site rules and guidance by the public.
• Use initiative in threatening situations and involve others promptly.
• Maintain a smart appearance and visible security presence on client premises.
• Administer basic First Aid when needed (training provided).
• Complete legible incident reports when incidents arise.
• Contribute to a safe, secure, welcoming environment.
