Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an AI Architect to own the technical strategy for a named portfolio of public sector customers, guiding them from discovery to production with ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI API, Codex, and related solutions.

You will partner with account leadership to translate mission priorities into focused use cases, adoption roadmaps, and durable customer value, while coordinating with deployment, security, and product teams.

Qualifications

Significant customer-facing technical experience in roles like solutions architecture or technical account leadership.
Experience guiding organizations from technical evaluation through production adoption and measurable impact.
Familiarity with government/public sector contexts, security, governance, and procurement considerations.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical advisor and long‑term technical relationship owner for a named portfolio of public sector customers and pre‑sales prospects.
Own the technical account plan, milestones, adoption priorities, and expansion opportunities.
Lead discovery with agency leaders and engineers to identify use cases tied to mission outcomes.
Develop Applied AI Architectures spanning models, data, integration, security, privacy, governance, and deployment.
Guide customers through evaluations, workshops, and proofs of value to build production confidence.
Navigate security and compliance requirements shaping AI adoption in the public sector.
Maintain a focused use‑case portfolio with clear ownership and adoption plans.
