Job summary

Searchability is seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to support delivery across Discovery and subsequent phases within a major public sector digital modernisation programme. You will combine Scrum Master responsibilities with practical delivery management, ensuring predictable progress and stakeholder visibility.

Key activities include facilitating Agile ceremonies, refining backlogs, tracking progress in Jira, and coaching teams to deliver across Phase 2 while balancing live service work.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Scrum Master or Delivery Lead within Agile software development teams.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and support effective Agile ways of working.
• Experience with delivery planning, backlog management, dependency tracking, risk and issue management.
• Confident using Jira or similar tools to track work and provide delivery transparency.
• Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
• Support Product Owner, Business Analysts and delivery team to refine, prioritise and manage the backlog.
• Maintain delivery information and track progress through Jira and other tools.
• Produce clear stakeholder updates covering progress, risks, issues and milestones.
• Identify and remove impediments to meet sprint goals and progress planned work.
• Coach team members in Agile and Scrum practices and encourage continuous improvement.
• Support team self-organisation and constructive conflict resolution.
• Develop and maintain delivery plans for Phase 2 (discovery, design, analysis, build, testing, release).
• Track risks, issues and dependencies; escalate where necessary.
• Coordinate with product, design, analysis, engineering and testing colleagues to ensure understanding of requirements.
• Establish a delivery rhythm balancing live service with Phase 2 work and provide progress visibility.
