Account Manager Public Sector

Job Role Responsibilities

  1. Achieve or exceed sales targets as discussed with manager
  2. Proactively develop sales opportunities and understand customer requirements
  3. Win new business supported by Public Sector bid team
  4. Grow and develop existing account base
  5. Collaborate with pre-sales team to lead messaging and offerings with customers
  6. Manage customer / supplier / distribution relationships (manage your network)
  7. Be responsible for pipeline
  8. Be at the forefront of technology developments and discuss this with public sector customers

Job Requirements

You must be self-motivated and hardworking with a minimum of good GCSEs or equivalent in English and Math, and ideally, but not necessarily, good A-Levels. You should be extremely efficient, well-organized, and attentive to detail. A positive, upbeat, and helpful persona is key. It is essential that you can take direction and use your initiative when required, with enthusiasm and self-motivation. Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel would be useful but not essential. The company values teamwork, so being a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude is crucial.
