Job description

We’re working with a design consultancy with studios across the UK, as they recruit a communications professional to elevate their brand presence and storytelling. This in-house role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset, editorial flair, and strong media relationships.

The role is part-time over three days, based in the Newcastle office, with hybrid and flexible working to suit your schedule. Salary is to reflect experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Craft and execute PR campaigns tailored to architecture and property audiences
  • Write engaging press releases, media alerts, and editorial pitches
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers
  • Coordinate interviews, speaking engagements, and media opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends and identify proactive PR angles
  • Report on media coverage and assess campaign impact

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of PR experience, ideally from an agency background
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of UK media landscape, especially in the built environment
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with media databases and PR tools is a plus
  • Willingness to travel for events and conferences

Highly Desirable (Non Essential)

  • Experience with award submissions and editorial planning
  • Knowledge of architecture, design, or property sectors
