The Royal Armouries is seeking a Public Programme Producer to shape the RAW project from the ground up in Leeds. The role is 21.6 hours per week over 3 days and will be hybrid, with occasional site meetings as needed.

Help shape a major new cultural and events venue from the start.

The Royal Armouries is developing an ambitious new cultural destination at Leeds Dock. The Royal Armouries Waterfront (RAW) will provide a flexible new venue for conferences, events, performances and immersive experiences, creating a major new asset for Leeds and the wider region.

We are seeking an exceptional PublicProgramme Producer to join the project team at an early stage and help shape the future of the venue.

Working initially three days a week, you will develop the foundations of the public programme that will bring RAW to life when it opens in 2031. You will identify future programme opportunities, develop relationships with producers and partners, help inform the design and operational requirements of the building, and build the strategy, team and partnerships needed to deliver an outstanding launch programme.

This is a rare opportunity to help create a major cultural destination from the ground up and to play a defining role in one of the most significant cultural development projects in Leeds.

As the founding PublicProgramme Producer, you will bring exceptional qualities to the role, including:

• A depth of experience delivering excellent cultural productions
• Commercial nous and a strong understanding of audiences
• Proven pragmatic problem-solving and the resilience to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• An enthusiasm for working with people across a wide range of disciplines and the influencing and communication skills to get the most out of them
• The knowledge and networks to make the most of the opportunities on offer for the programme

Hours

21.6 hoursper weekover 3 days, with some occasional weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working as the programme requires.This role will be hybrid, combining home and office-working and occasional site and off-site meetings as required, in line with business need.

The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
