Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Creative Programmes team at a pivotal moment. Working at the heart of one of the UK's most significant cultural projects, you will help shape the systems, partnerships and delivery models that will enable extraordinary public experiences to thrive for years to come.

We are looking for an exceptional Strategic Producer to lead the strategic production function for Creative Programmes. Working closely with the Head of Creative Programmes, you will translate creative ambition into sustainable operational delivery, leading programme planning, production frameworks, financial management and team development. You will oversee the successful delivery of a complex programme of activity while building the operational foundations that support innovation, collaboration and audience excellence.

We're seeking someone with significant experience leading the strategic production and operational delivery of complex creative programmes, festivals, live events or major public-facing experiences. You will have a proven track record of developing high-performing teams, establishing effective production systems and governance frameworks, and delivering ambitious programmes from planning through to live delivery and evaluation. You'll also bring strong financial leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management experience and the ability to balance creative ambition with operational confidence.

Previous experience of working in a museum is not required. We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds across live events, festivals, performing arts, experiential production, entertainment, hospitality, public events and the wider cultural sector. We recognise that exceptional production leadership can come from a range of industries and are particularly interested in people who enjoy creating memorable live experiences in fast-paced environments.
