Job summary

USS Investment Management Limited in London is recruiting a Public Markets Operations Associate to support day-to-day trading operations and NAV processes. You will work closely with front office and service partners to investigate price exceptions, reconcile cash and positions, and assist with onboarding and transitions in the Public Markets team.

The role requires attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Financial experience is beneficial and welcomed.
• Business qualification advantageous; part/fully qualified accountant preferred.
• Experience with a range of assets and investment products is helpful.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Daily investigation and correction of price exceptions and stale values.
• Reconcile cash and positions across the Scheme for internal/external managers.
• Liaise with Fund Accounting and Custodian services to support NAV processes.
• Support onboarding transitions and daily trade activity in Public Markets.
• Identify improvements to day-to-day processes and procedures.

This role will provide a great opportunity to provide exposure to our end-to-end process of Public Markets Operations working closely with the front office teams and support areas in performing day-to-day tasks and delivering business readiness for new initiatives impacting the Operations team. Good collaboration with external stakeholders (fund managers, custodians, and fund accounting teams) is a key requirement.The role is within the Public Markets team and is responsible for the day-to-day core trading support of the scheme and investigation of exceptions and reconciliations which feeds into the NAV process. The Scheme investments cover a broad range of assets, and a flexible can-do attitude is required.
