Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a part-time Library Assistant for Omagh Library. This temporary ongoing position starts ASAP with a two-week rota.

Duties include explaining library services and addressing community needs, with a focus on learning, information, leisure and culture. The role requires GCSEs including English and Maths (grade C or equivalent) and at least one year of face-to-face public service experience, plus ICT familiarity.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 GCSEs including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent.
• 1 year experience providing face to face service with the public.
• Experience working with young children and elderly people.
• Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information.

Responsibilities

• Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations.
• Provide all library services to meet the learning, information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
