Zusammenfassung

Birmingham City Council is seeking a motivated Public Health Programme Officer to join the Food System Team within the Public Health Division. The role focuses on delivering the Birmingham Food System Strategy, working with partners to improve health, reduce inequalities and create a sustainable food system.

You will contribute to community engagement, research, evaluation and reporting while supporting grant-funded programmes and policy development.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience in project management or information governance.
• Experience working with partners and stakeholders to support public health outcomes.
• Experience producing briefs, reports and bid submissions.
• Ability to analyse data and intelligence to inform performance, commissioning, strategy and policy development.
• Understanding of public health priorities, policy environment and project management principles.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development.
• Empathy and commitment to improving health and wellbeing for diverse communities.

Aufgaben

• Support planning, coordination and delivery of public health programmes aligned with the Birmingham Food System Strategy.
• Maintain project plans, logs, risk registers and programme documentation.
• Collaborate with partners to strengthen partnership working and support the Birmingham Food System Partnership.
• Undertake research, evidence reviews and data analysis to inform programme development and policy.
• Support community engagement, consultation and co-production activities.
• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting, gathering progress and impact evidence.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, presentations and responses.
