Public Health Wales CDSC in Cardiff is seeking an Epidemiological Scientist (Advanced) to contribute to surveillance system development, field investigations, epidemiological studies and applied research. You will collaborate with analysts, epidemiologists, clinicians and scientists across the Health Protection Division.

The role may include line management, training staff and mentoring junior colleagues, and you will work from Public Health Wales headquarters in Cardiff with flexible working

Qualifications

• Good honours degree in a scientific or numerate subject.
• Master’s qualification in public health or epidemiology or equivalent relevant experience.
• Team player with good organisational and communication skills, flexible attitude and temperament to work under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Develop surveillance systems, conduct field investigations, epidemiological studies and research.
• Provide epidemiology support and contribute to maintenance of public health surveillance schemes run by the Health Protection Division; collaborate with analysts, epidemiologists, clinicians and scientists.
