Want to engineer the infrastructure that keeps the digital world running?

BlackEdge are partnered with a globally recognised engineering consultancy to find talented Public Health Engineers to join its growing Data Centre team in London.

This is an opportunity to work on some of the world’s most complex and technologically advanced data centre and mission-critical projects, helping shape the infrastructure that powers our increasingly connected world.

The opportunity

You’ll contribute to the design and delivery of resilient, sustainable and high-performing public health and fire protection systems across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise and cloud infrastructure projects in the UK, Europe and beyond.

Working alongside leading specialists across mechanical, electrical, structural and digital engineering, you’ll help turn ambitious ideas into practical, innovative solutions — from concept design through to detailed design and construction support.

Your work will help create critical environments where reliability, efficiency and operational continuity are essential.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing public health and fire protection systems for complex, mission-critical facilities.
  • Undertaking system calculations, hydraulic modelling, equipment sizing and technical specifications.
  • Developing water services strategies, including domestic water, drainage and specialist systems.
  • Coordinating designs with multidisciplinary engineering, architectural and BIM teams.
  • Supporting the planning of plant rooms, utility connections, distribution routes and critical infrastructure spaces.
  • Producing technical reports and design documentation, while collaborating with clients, contractors and equipment specialists.
  • Contributing to sustainable design solutions that improve operational performance and environmental outcomes.
