Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking a Public Health Information Analyst to turn health and population data into clear intelligence. You will analyse datasets, support GP IT queries, and contribute to public health projects for the Health and Care Hub in Leeds.

Qualifications

• Specialist knowledge of data analysis techniques and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Experience with NHS/public sector data and GP IT systems is desirable.
• Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements.
• Proficiency in desktop apps; SQL and Excel familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Undertake data analysis using databases, spreadsheets and tools.
• Lead on Public Health Intelligence projects and develop data sets.
• Disseminate statistics to stakeholders via reports and dashboards.
• Ensure data quality and maintain documentation and procedures.
• Analyse health and wellbeing surveys to support statutory functions.
