Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Public & Community Transport Officer to support the Transport Planning Team. You will help plan, develop and deliver public and community transport services across the Borough, ensuring accessibility and efficiency.

You will support the Service Lead for Public and Community Transport, contribute to the Bus Service Improvement Plan and Enhanced Partnership Plan, and be involved in contract management and tendering for local bus operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of public and community transport legislation.
• Experience in planning and operation of local bus services.
• Excellent IT skills and fluent English.
• Willingness to travel across the Borough.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver public and community transport services across the Borough.
• Ensure services are safe, accessible, efficient and sustainable.
• Support the Bus Service Improvement Plan and Enhanced Partnership Plan development and delivery.
