Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Transport Planner (or Assistant Transport Planner) to join our Guildford team. You will work across modes to develop transport strategies, policies and business cases and support programmes from inception through to delivery.

You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across public sector clients and private sector partners, contributing to multi-disciplinary projects and pursuing continuous improvement in our transport planning services.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in transport and mobility planning and design, and transport data analysis.
• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and colleagues.
• Experience of working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
• Experience of software packages such as TRICS, Junction 10 and LinSIG.
• Understanding of project management skills developed across a range of transport and multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to a variety of Transport Planning projects and proposals (both technical and commercial inputs,) and delivering high quality outputs in line with client requirements.
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team; working with our other WSP service lines to deliver large multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
• Playing a supporting role in securing and delivering work for our diverse local client portfolio.
• Contribute to the financial performance of your projects and the commercial performance of our team.
• Making an active contribution to WSP's four key pillars (People; Clients & Growth; Operations; and Expertise).
