Job summary

De Vere Wokefield Estate Reading is seeking a Public Area Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily hotel public areas, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and leading a diverse team.

The role also involves managing stock orders, laundry counts and rotas to keep the department running smoothly, with a 24/7 shift pattern, and a strong focus on guest comfort and team development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping role is desirable but not essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
• Strong communication skills to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent organisation and time management to meet operational requirements.

Public Area Cleaning Supervisor

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for cleanliness?

Join our team as a Public Area Cleaning Supervisor at De Vere Wokefield Estate Reading.

From meticulously clean coridoors to thoughtful touches, you will check Public Areas of the hotel on a daily basis, proactively addressing any housekeeping-related requirements to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction. You will guide the team so they understand the importance of paying attention to every detail, no matter how small, to create memorable moments for our guests.

You will lead by example, fostering a culture of warmth where colleagues feel appreciated and by building genuine relationships with your team members, you will create a sense of belonging, empowering them to take pride in their work. You will also support with administrative tasks such as stock orders, laundry counts and rotas to ensure the smooth running of the department,

Your Skills & Experience:

• You have previous experience in a similar role - Hotel housekeeping experience is desirable, but is not essential
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the hotel
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, prioritising tasks and managing work schedules to meet operational requirements
