Job summary

De Vere Wokefield Estate Reading is seeking a Public Area Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily checks of public areas and ensure guest comfort with immaculate presentation. You will lead, coach and motivate a diverse team, coordinate stock orders, laundry counts and rotas, and uphold De Vere's high standards of cleanliness and service across the hotel's public spaces.

The role is on-site near Reading with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar hotel housekeeping supervisory role is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent organisation and time management to manage rotas and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Public Area Cleaning team to maintain guest areas daily.
• Oversee stock orders, laundry checks and staff rotas to ensure smooth operations.

Join our team as a Public Area Cleaning Supervisor at De Vere Wokefield Estate Reading.

From meticulously clean coridoors to thoughtful touches, you will check Public Areas of the hotel on a daily basis, proactively addressing any housekeeping-related requirements to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction. You will guide the team so they understand the importance of paying attention to every detail, no matter how small, to create memorable moments for our guests.

You will lead by example, fostering a culture of warmth where colleagues feel appreciated and by building genuine relationships with your team members, you will create a sense of belonging, empowering them to take pride in their work. You will also support with administrative tasks such as stock orders, laundry counts and rotas to ensure the smooth running of the department,

Your Skills & Experience:

• You have previous experience in a similar role - Hotel housekeeping experience is desirable, but is not essential
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the hotel
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, prioritising tasks and managing work schedules to meet operational requirements
