Job summary

De Vere Wokefield Estate, located near Reading, seeks a Bar Supervisor to lead the bar team, create and serve drinks and engage guests daily. You will work with colleagues to develop skills and ensure the bar is clean and well stocked, while delivering exceptional guest service.

The role offers £13.50 per hour with extensive benefits, including gym access, annual two-night stays, and birthday leave among others. Shifts include weekends on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• You have bar experience and ideally some experience of supervising others.
• You are confident and guest focused with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• You are an excellent organiser, professional and able to delegate effectively.
• Familiarity with booking systems such as OpenTable is a plus and training can be provided.

Responsibilities

De Vere Wokefield Estate in Mortimer are recruiting a Bar Supervisor to support and guide our team. Our Bar Team plays a key role in making sure our guests have a memorable and enjoyable visit to the hotel.

As the Bar Supervisor you will take a lead role on the bar creating and serving drinks and engaging with our guests on a daily basis. You will also work closely with colleagues to help develop their skills and knowledge as well as keeping the bar area clean and well stocked at all times.

In return this role offers £13.50 per hour and excellent benefits including free use of the gym facilities, a complimentary 2 night stay with De Vere every year plus additional stays for £50 per room, time off over the christmas period and a paid day off for your birthday in addition to your holidays!

This role involves working a variety of shifts including weekends on a rota basis.

• You have bar experience and ideally some experience of supervising others
• You are confident and guest focused and through an intuitive approach deliver exceptional levels of guest service, making everyone feel welcome
• You are an excellent organiser, with a professional attitude and are able to delegate to others effectively
• You will ideally be familiar with booking systems such as Open Table although this is not essential as training can be provided
