Job summary

MAG Manchester Airports Group is seeking a public affairs professional to deliver the company's strategy and strengthen its relationships with political, business and civic stakeholders across Greater Manchester and the North of England. You will develop and maintain essential relationships, prepare concise briefings and policy responses, and monitor developments that could affect MAG.

The role includes coordinating visits with MPs and local authorities and supporting campaigns on transport,

Qualifications

• Experience in public affairs, political, policy, stakeholder engagement or external relations.
• Strong understanding of how local and national government decisions affect organisations and communities.
• Excellent written and analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into briefings and recommendations.
• A proactive, self-starting approach with ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Manchester Airport's public affairs strategy and strengthen reputation with political, business and civic stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Greater Manchester and the North of England.
• Prepare high-quality briefings and policy responses; monitor political developments impacting MAG.
• Coordinate visits and engagement activities involving MPs, local authority leaders and senior external stakeholders.
• Support campaigns on transport, infrastructure investment, sustainability and economic growth.
