Job summary

MAG (Airports Group) is seeking a Public Affairs professional to deliver Manchester Airport's public affairs strategy, building the airport's reputation with political, business and civic stakeholders across Greater Manchester and the North of England. You will work with the Senior Public Affairs Manager and wider Corporate Affairs team to develop relationships and support campaigns.

• Experience in a public affairs, political, policy, stakeholder engagement or external relations environment.
• Strong understanding of how local and national government decisions can affect organisations and communities.
• Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills and ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen MAG's role as the gateway to the North.
• Support and deliver stakeholder engagement programmes and campaigns.
• Prepare high-quality briefings and policy responses; monitor political and policy developments.
• Coordinate visits and engagement activity involving MPs, local authorities and senior external stakeholders.
