Job summary

The Ambleside Inn, part of The Inn Collection Group, is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team at Ambleside. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver menus that showcase fresh ingredients and consistent quality in a fast-paced pub with rooms setting.

You will manage a talented team, contribute to menu development and costing, oversee stock control and supplier orders, and maintain cleanliness and high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to contribute to menu development and costing.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen team and ensure high standards of food preparation.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on menu development and costing.
• Manage stock control and ordering from nominated suppliers.
• Oversee kitchen cleanliness and daily operations, including covering Head Chef when needed.
