• Staff supervision: recruit, train, and supervise pub staff; provide guidance and feedback.
• Customer service: foster a customer-centric environment and handle inquiries, complaints, and feedback.
• Operations management: assist in opening/closing, cash handling, inventory, and health & safety compliance.
• Sales and marketing: develop and implement sales strategies; promote pub events and promotions.
• Financial management: monitor expenses, control costs, inventory, vendor relations; prepare reports.
• Teamwork and communication: promote teamwork and effective communication; liaise with departments and suppliers.
• Compliance: ensure licensing, health and safety compliance; stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Problem solving: identify and resolve operational issues; make decisions in the absence of the GM.
• Pub maintenance: coordinate maintenance and repairs; report issues.
• Training and development: deliver staff training; stay updated on industry trends.
