Job summary

Hydes Brewery Ltd in Manchester is hiring a Pub Chef at The Old Plough near Sale. You will deliver high-quality dishes in a busy pub kitchen, maintain standards, and work as part of a supportive brigade.

You may have experience in a small busy kitchen, with opportunities to learn, progress and gain hospitality qualifications through our development programme. 35–45 hours/week, full-time, with paid breaks and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in pub kitchen environments.
• Ability to prepare starters, mains and desserts to spec.
• Experience across kitchen stations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dishes to spec in a busy pub kitchen.
• Assist with food ordering and stock management.
• Support Kitchen Manager and maintain high standards.

What hours will you be working?

Full time Position with hours varying between 35 and 45 hours per week dependent on events and team holiday cover.

What you'll be doing as Pub Chef

Here at Hydes, food quality and looking after our people is key. As our Pub Chef, you will enjoy delivering excellent food standards always in a friendly and supportive environment.

As a key member of the brigade, you will have an attention to detail, ensuring all dishes are prepared to spec, and have experience of all stations with the ability to produce a range of starters, mains and desserts. You will also support your Kitchen Manager with food ordering, stock management, and maintaining a 5-star rating. You may have previous experience in a small but busy pub kitchen environment. You may also be a commis who is looking to progress.

The Old Plough is located in Ashton on Mersey, which is near Sale. This site is at the heart of this thriving village and its community. It has an excellent reputation for quality drink and customer service. It caters for everyone, with a function area and large outdoor beer garden where many summer events are regularly held. The site benefits from live sports, live entertainment, and informal dining.
