Job summary

Greene King is seeking an Assistant Manager for one of its pubs to lead day-to-day operations, develop the team and ensure outstanding guest experiences. You will work closely with the General Manager to maintain high standards, drive sales and profitability, and create a welcoming environment for families and friends.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coaching and a positive, proactive approach in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing a team in a pub, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
• Ability to lead shifts and deliver great service.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front: support, motivate and inspire the team to deliver excellent service and memorable guest experiences.
• Help run a busy pub: work closely with the General Manager to keep operations running smoothly and standards consistently high.
• Put guests first: ensure every guest feels welcome for family meals, catch-ups or celebrations.
• Drive performance: help manage sales, labour costs, stock and overall profitability.
