TipTopJob is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a long-term West London rail infrastructure contract. The role requires a valid PTS card, strong civil engineering background and proven Principal Contractor experience to lead on-site activities and compliance.

You will manage ITPs/AMPs, material take-offs, and technical documentation while ensuring rail safety during possessions and shift windows. The position is Inside IR35 with day, night and weekend work as required on a major project.

Qualifications

• PTC certification required for Personal Track Safety (PTS).
• Proven experience with Principal Contractor on UK rail projects.
• Strong civil engineering background related to rails and setting out.
• Experience developing ITPs/AMPs and performing material take-offs.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manage site delivery.

Responsabilités

• Site supervision and liaising with Principal Contractor on day-to-day civil activities.
• Ensure compliance with design specs, Network Rail standards and safety frameworks.
• Lead ITPs and AMPs creation, sign-off and ongoing QA records.
• Perform material take-offs, manage procurement requests and waste control.
• Uphold rail safety during possessions, inductions, and pre-work briefings.

The Role

Are you an experienced Site Engineer with a valid PTS card looking for a long:term contract in West London?

We are seeking a high:caliber PTS Site Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure project delivered by a Tier 1 Principal Contractor. In this role, you will lead on:site civil engineering activities, manage quality compliance, and drive rigorous standards across network assets.

Note: This position has been determined as Inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision and Principal Contractor Liaison: Oversee day:to:day civil engineering activities on site, ensuring full compliance with design specifications, Network Rail standards, and Principal Contractor safety frameworks.
• Quality and Assurance Compliance: Lead the preparation, implementation, and sign:off of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Asset Management Plans (AMPs).
• Commercial and Material Take:Offs: Perform accurate material take:offs, manage procurement requisitions, and track material utilization to minimize waste.
• Technical Documentation: Produce, review, and maintain technical submittals, task briefs, work package plans (WPPs), and quality assurance records.
• Site Safety Leadership: Ensure strict adherence to rail safety regulations during possession windows, participating in pre:work briefings and site inductions under PTS conditions.

Key Requirements

• PTS Certification: Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification (AC/DC).
• Principal Contractor Experience: Demonstrable track record working with a Principal Contractor on UK rail infrastructure projects.
• Civil Engineering Background: Strong expertise in rail civils, setting out, reading technical drawings, and site delivery.
• Compliance and Technical Competence: Hands:on experience developing and managing ITPs, AMPs, and material take:offs within highly regulated environments.
• Location: Based in or around West London (or easily commutable to West London site locations).
• Flexibility: Fully available and willing to work weekends, night shifts, and possession windows as required by project schedules.
