Job summary

Accrington & Rossendale College is seeking a part-time PTHP Lecturer in Media. Based mainly at Accrington & Rossendale College, you will teach on Level 3 BTEC Media and related IT diplomas, develop resources, and deliver enrichment activities.

The role requires a degree in a relevant subject and a recognised teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve one within three years). DBS clearance is required.

• Higher degree or advanced qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach within the Digital and Media team on BTEC Level 3 programmes.
• Develop and share course resources and enrichment activities.
• Complete assessments and internal verification for student work.
• Travel to other sites as required.

A new and exciting opportunity has become available for highly motivated Lecturer in Media, ideally with a graphics and video production background, to join our close-knit Creative & Digital Team on a part-time hourly paid basis.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington & Rossendale College but may be required to travel across sites.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Teaching within the Digital and Media team on the level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Media (RQF) and the BTEC extended Diploma in Information Technology, delivering effective learning for students
• Develop and share resources for the course/subject
• Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities
• Complete required assessment and Internal verification duties in relation to student assignments

• A degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification/experience
• A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
• A higher degree or advanced qualification is also desirable
• Successful teaching experience within Media
