Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience working with students with special educational needs?

Are you considering a future career as an Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, or within Clinical Psychology?

If so, this opportunity could be ideal for you. We are working with a highly supportive and inclusive school in Greenwich that provides excellent training and guidance for staff.

The Role

Opogo Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students in a school setting. This position offers hands-on experience in education and insight into careers related to psychology and special needs support.

Requirements
  • A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach to working with students.
  • A keen interest in supporting students with SEND.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment.
  • A valid DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
  • Previous experience working with children or adults with SEND is beneficial but not essential.
Responsibilities
  • Supporting the learning and development of students in the classroom.
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group interventions as required.
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Upholding school policies, including behaviour management procedures.

The pay range advertised is based on employment through an umbrella company.
