Job Description

Prospero Teaching is seeking a confident and ambitious Psychology Graduate to support secondary-aged students (11-16) in High Peak. The role involves supporting students who are struggling academically or behaviorally, particularly those with SEMH needs, PTSD, or ADHD. The position is a temporary, full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant role from February to July 2025, with a daily rate of £100.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children with SEN, especially SEMH needs
  • Creating an environment conducive to learning and personal development
  • Building rapport with students and supporting their social and behavioral needs as a mentor

Role requirements:

  • Psychology (BA Hons) degree
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or obtainable through Prospero Teaching
  • Safeguarding, prevent awareness, and FGM training
  • Desirable: Behaviour management training
  • Enthusiastic attitude and passion for education
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Previous experience working with young people and knowledge of SEMH/behavioral difficulties
