Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting psychology graduates or students who want to gain experience working with children in schools. You will support the class teacher, work with children of different ages and abilities, and may assist on a 1:1 basis.

You can work full or part time with flexible days. The role involves collaborating with teachers, managing behaviour, and safeguarding responsibilities, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children of different ages and abilities.
• Willingness to undertake safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Support children alongside the class teacher in their learning.
• Manage pupil behaviour to maintain a constructive environment.
• De-escalate classroom situations in line with safeguarding policies.
• Carry out small group work and support children with additional needs.
• Report safeguarding concerns using school procedures.
