Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in Leicester is seeking a Psychology Graduate to support pupils with challenging behaviour across local schools. The role starts ASAP and involves 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils engage with learning and regulate emotions.

You will contribute to creating a positive learning environment, learn behaviour management strategies, and gain experience in SEN, mental health and child wellbeing within educational settings.

Qualifications

• A degree in Psychology or a related subject.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Interest in challenging behaviour, mental health, SEN or emotional wellbeing.
• A patient, resilient and empathetic approach.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support.
• Help pupils manage their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.
• Implement behaviour management strategies and follow individual support plans.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and inclusion within the classroom.
• Support pupils in developing their social skills, independence and self-esteem.
