Job summary

Priory Hospital Preston is seeking a Chartered Psychologist to join our adult mental health service on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) on site. You will assess service users and deliver tailored, evidence-based therapy within a multidisciplinary team.

HCPC registration is essential, with accreditation from BABCP, BCP or BPS or equivalent. A successful DBS/Access NI or Disclosure Scotland check is required and the cost will be covered by Priory.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of the service users.

• Carry out comprehensive assessments.

Job description

This psychologist post sits within Priory Hospital Preston, a 50-bed mental health hospital running four wards. The work centres on assessing people referred to the service and delivering tailored, evidence-based therapy programmes, working with families, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team. The role serves adult men and women with acute mental health needs and eating disorders, on a part-time basis of 20 hours a week, based on site. HCPC registration and accreditation from a recognised psychology body are required.
