Job summary

Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is seeking a consultant psychologist for a 12-month maternity cover. The role focuses on assessing patients with complex needs in the acute and psychiatric intensive care wards for adult males, and developing formulation-led treatment plans using various therapies.

You will provide clinical leadership, supervise psychologists, assistants and trainees, and run reflective practice groups, with HCPC registration and at least five years at consultant level required.

Qualifications

• Must hold HCPC registration and be at consultant psychologist level.
• Minimum of five years post-registration experience at consultant level.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Fit depends on HCPC registration and at least five years at consultant level, and a vehicle is recommended given the rural site.

What the job involves

Qualifications

• Training in CBT
• Training in at least two further therapeutic modalities, including one suited to the patient group

Registration & licences

• HCPC registration

Experience

• Minimum of five years post-registration experience at consultant level
• Demonstrated leadership and strategic experience

Checks & eligibility

• Successful DBS, Access NI or Disclosure Scotland check at an appropriate level
