Job summary

Arriva UK Bus in Chester is seeking a PSV MOT Engineer to prepare and present buses for DVSA testing. The role involves inspecting and repairing a fleet, supporting the Wrexham site for MOTs, and assisting with other workshop operations when needed.

You will work to high safety and quality standards and contribute to Arriva's OCRS and Earned Recognition schemes. The ideal candidate will have a PSV/HGV qualification or apprenticeship and proven MOT experience, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• PSV/HGV mechanical engineering apprenticeship or recognised qualification is essential.
• Proven experience working on PSV or HGV vehicles.
• Strong understanding of MOT standards and vehicle compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre-MOT inspections and repairs to high maintenance standards.
• Prepare vehicles for DVSA annual test and present to DVSA.
• Support Wrexham site to prepare MOTs and assist with other workshop operations.
• Maintain safety, quality and documentation at all times.
