Job summary

Arriva London North Limited is seeking a skilled PSV Mechanic to join our engineering team. You will inspect, maintain and repair buses and coaches to DVSA standards, ensuring safe and reliable operation across our fleet.

You will diagnose faults using diagnostic tools, carry out pre-MOT checks, document work accurately, and work shifts including evenings and weekends as required. A strong safety mindset and ability to work in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proven PSV mechanic experience, ideally in bus/coaches.
• Valid UK driving licence, ideally with D (PCV) entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair PSVs (buses/coaches) to schedule plans.
• Diagnose and fix faults using diagnostic equipment and manuals.
• Carry out pre-MOT checks and DVSA-compliant roadworthiness work.
• Document parts, time and defects clearly in company systems.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and work as part of a team.
