Job summary

First Bus Slough Depot is hiring a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) PSV/HGV Mechanic to join our busy team. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and carry out servicing to ensure buses run safely and reliably.

Experience on HGV/PSV and a valid UK driving licence are essential, with a strong attention to detail and a passion for mechanics. We offer varied shifts and career development within a leading UK bus operator.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ/SVQ or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• Experience working on HGV or PSV.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical repairs to keep vehicles safe and reliable.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles and complete documented records in line with regulations and health & safety standards.
• Respond to on-road breakdowns and recoveries and road-test vehicles as required.
