Job summary

First Bus Glasgow Caledonia Depot is seeking a PSV/HGV Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles at the Caledonia Depot. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, service inspections and manage on-road recoveries, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role requires Level 3 NVQ/SVQ or City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance, PSV/HGV experience, and a valid UK driving licence. A joining bonus is available and shift timings are negotiable.

Qualifications

• Level3 NVQ/SVQ or City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• Experience on HGV or PSV.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical repairs.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections.
• Respond to on-road breakdowns and recoveries.
• Road test vehicles and complete documentation.
