First Bus Kings Lynn Depot is seeking an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified PSV/HGV Mechanic to join the busy Kings Lynn team. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and participate in routine servicing to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

The role offers varied shifts, a joining bonus, and benefits including health cover, discounted travel, and a pension scheme. A valid UK driving licence is required and background checks will be conducted.

Formación

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• Experience working on HGV or PSV vehicles is preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence expected.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs on PSV/HGV.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and routine inspections.
• Road test vehicles and complete all required documentation accurately.

Position: PSV/HGV Mechanic Location: Kings Lynn Depot, 27 Vancouver Avenue PE30 5RD

We are now looking for an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified PSV/HGV Mechanic to join the busy team at our First Bus Kings Lynn Depot – PSV or HGV mechanical experience is great however we love to hear from ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other automotive sectors looking for a change.

Key Details: £21.12 per hour Weekend premium rate of £22.19 per hour Minimum 39 hours per week Approx. £42,831 per annum 5 days over 7 Varying shifts available: early shift, mid shift or late shift - can be discussed at screening £2,000 JOINING BONUS!

In this hands-on role, you'll keep vehicles running safely and reliably by diagnosing faults, completing mechanical repairs and replacing parts when needed. You'll carry out scheduled servicing, routine inspections and preventative maintenance, as well as responding to on-road breakdowns and recoveries. You'll also road test vehicles where required and make sure all documentation is completed accurately and in line with regulations and health and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Do you have a Level 3 NVQ/SVQ or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repair?
• Do you have experience working on HGV or PSV?
• Do you have a valid UK driving licence?
• Do you also have a strong attention to detail and a passion for mechanics?
