NHS Grampian is expanding the Anaesthetic Department at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin, Scotland. This full-time position is primarily based at Dr Gray’s Hospital, with opportunities for specialist interests and potential work at other hospitals within Grampian or other Health Boards. The role offers flexible, part-time, or annualised work patterns tailored to service and applicant needs.
Dr Gray’s Hospital is a District General Hospital located in Elgin, North-East Scotland, near Inverness and Aberdeen.
The Scottish Government aims to re-establish a Consultant-led Obstetric service, including a new resident non-consultant rota and an expanded Consultant team of at least 12 Whole Time Equivalents to meet Royal College of Anaesthetists' requirements.
Applicants should possess FRCA certification.
UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from the interview date. Alternatively, they should hold CESR / CESR (CP).
Applicants with appropriate specialist training not listed on the GMC Specialist Register may be considered for a Locum Consultant position (up to 12 months) if no permanent appointment is made. During locum employment, applications for CESR / CESR (CP) and entry onto the Specialist Register can be submitted.
